Quilt is a family calendar. This page explains what we store, why, and what we do with it, in plain language.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, and a name for each family member you add. Kids under 13 don't need an account; a parent adds their name and birthday so the schedule can be built.
  • Schedule data: your custody rules, school calendar, activities, and any changes you or the other parent propose and accept.
  • Messages and attachments you send inside Quilt. These are kept as a permanent record and cannot be edited or deleted, because that record is the point.
  • Google Calendar access, only if you choose to connect it. We use it for one thing: to create a calendar named "Quilt" in your Google account and keep the schedule in it up to date. We don't read your other calendars.
  • Basic usage: when you signed in and which features you used, so we can keep the service working.

How we use it

To show your family its schedule, sync it to the calendars you choose, notify you of changes, and keep the record you may need later. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use your information for advertising.

Google user data

Quilt's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar access is used only to write your Quilt schedule into a calendar you own. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, or from your Google account's permissions page, and we delete the stored connection.

Who can see what

Your family's data is visible only to the members of that family, according to their role. Parents see everything. Kids see whose house it is and their own activities. Viewers you invite (a grandparent, a nanny) see only what a parent enables.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (database and sign-in) and served by Vercel, both in the United States, over encrypted connections. Google refresh tokens are encrypted before they are stored.

Your choices

You can export your family's record, disconnect Google, revoke calendar links, and close your account by contacting us. Because messages and accepted schedule changes form a shared record between two parents, they remain visible to the other parent after you leave.
